FAQ

Q: When do courses open up for registration?
A: Courses open for registration 60 days prior to enrollment.

Q: How long are your classes?
A: Each of our classes is six weeks long, two hours per week – each week builds upon the previous week. Your registration fee includes access to all six weeks!

Q: Do you have a waitlist?
A: Yes! If you see that your class is full, make sure to click on the “Get on Waitlist” button, and your name/e-mail will automatically be added to our system.

Q: What if I am no longer able to take a class?
A: If you’re no longer able to take a class, please e-mail our dedicated student support e-mail address for your respective city (seattle@urbanelective.com OR losangeles@urbanelective.com) with the subject line “CLASS DROP REQUEST” – one of our support representatives will assist you within 48 hours. Please note that all class sales are final; however, you may transfer name of a class to someone else.

Q: Are these accredited courses?
A: No, they’re not! Urban Elective hosts classes for educational/fun purposes, but our courses are not accredited.

Q: Will I have any additional costs?
A: Some courses do have a materials fee, but they are detailed on each individual course page. Materials fees are due on the first day of class via check or cash to your teacher.

Q: Is parking included with my registration?
A: Parking is not included, but the majority of our venues have free street parking or parking lots – we recommend arriving to class early to find parking. However, as we do not condone drinking and driving – we encourage all of our students to take Lyft/Uber to class!

Q: Are beers/drinks/food included with my registration?
A: No, registration is for the class only. Any beers/drinks/food you order on-site are on your dime!

Q: I’m under 21 – can I take a class with URBAN ELECTIVE?
A: Sorry, no – a lot of our courses are held at breweries or other establishments that serve alcoholic beverages, so we need you to be 21 to take an Urban Elective course.

Q: I don’t drink – can I still take one of your courses?
A: Absolutely! While most of our courses are held at breweries or other establishments that serve alcoholic beverages, there is no pressure to order an alcoholic beverage while you’re there.
