In this class, students will learn the basics of metal jewelry making. We will cover basic tools and uses as well as the basic forming methods. By the end of the course students will be able to hand forge their own pendants, rings, earrings, etc.
Materials Fee: $30 per student payable via check or cash on the first day of class that will cover pliers, hammers, saws, benchpins, metal, etc.

Teacher Bio: Samantha Poepping
Samantha Rowe has been making jewelry for the last 7 years, and is self-taught in the art of metalsmithing. Her and her husband have their own company Smith & Stone Co. which is inspired but the beauty and wonder of Mother Earth. She has always loved the old-world and loves to bring an old trade back into modern society because there is nothing like working with your hands.
