[Tuesdays] 5:30PM – 7:30PM

To take this course, all you need is an interest in bees! We will cover different types of beekeeping, bee biology, swarms, anatomy, behavior, beekeeping tools, annual activity and much more. It has been said that “bees find you” – here they are!

Materials Fee: 

No materials needed. A suggested reading list will be provided for interested students. A discounted annual membership to HoneyLove for those who wish to begin hands-on study to eventually become urban beekeepers.

Teacher Bio: Ceebs Bailey

Ceebs has been an urban beekeeper in LA for 10 years and has worked with HoneyLove, a honey bee educational non-profit, for the last seven years. She has taught HoneyLove classes, given hands-on mentoring experiences, and caught swarms; she currently does school and local outreach to educate the public about the amazing honey bee.
