Description

Teacher Bio: Katie Hemming

My name is Katie Hemming and I have been a musical theater and opera performer for over 15 years. Some of my favorite roles were Thea is Spring Awakening, Cinderella in Into the Woods, and the girl who couldn’t sing in A Chorus Line.  I minored in Music and Theater in college, and spent the last year writing a musical of my own. While writing, I did extensive research on how musicals began and how they morphed into what they are today, both on-stage and in film. I’m so excited to share this fascinating story with all of you.
